The Red Setter Foundation was founded in 2007 to assist with the administration of funds donated to provide educational, scientific, literary, charitable opportunities for The National Red Setter Field Trial Club.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to enhance the quality and breadth of education, scientific progress, and literary needs of the National Red Setter Field Trial Club by obtaining funding from a variety of sources to provide said members, participants and people of similar interests with opportunities to develop and maintain innovative programs that will further advance their goals and mission. The Red Setter Foundation seeks to assist the promotion of the Irish Red Setter as a class horseback Shooting Dog competitor through its support of educational programs, grants, partnerships, and other venues that would further the cause of the Irish Red Setter in field trial competition, bird dog events, hunting venues and similar activities that seek to improve the breed as a working dog.
We seek to support such venues by financially supporting:
- publications
- web interfaces
- partnerships with various canine organizations
- partnerships with various entities that support the improvement of our breed
- support of bird dog events including field trials, hunting trials, breeding programs, and other activities that promote the working qualities of the Irish Red Setter
